4 Cheese Country Bread
4 Cheese Country Bread
Ingredients
1 teaspoon Sugar
2 teaspoons Instant Yeast
1 1/2 cups lukewarm water
2 teaspoons Kosher Salt
2 tablespoon melted Butter
4.5 cups of flour (depending on altitude and weather maybe a little more or less flour)
1/2 cup – 1 cup 4 Cheese Blend (Asiago, Fontina, Parmesan, Provolone)
Directions
Mix the lukewarm water, yeast and sugar in your mixer bowl and let sit for about 5-10 minutes. The yeast will start to react and turn bubbly and foamy. That’s exactly what you want to see. The yeast is simply letting you know that it is active and you can go ahead with the recipe. Turn on your mixer and add the flour one cup at a time. Add the Salt and Butter to the dough. Once all the flour has been incorporated mix with your dough hook for 8-10 minutes. When finished mixing put your dough in a greased bowl. Let the dough rise until it has doubled in size. Depending on altitude and weather that can take from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Once the dough has doubled in size punch it down gently and shape it into whichever shape you prefer. This recipes is enough dough for 2 smaller loafs or one large one. As you can see below I decided to go for a large oval shaped loaf. After it has been shaped place your dough on a cookie sheet lined with Parchment Paper. Let the dough rise again. Before baking “paint” the bread with the melted Butter and spread the Cheese on it. Bake at 400 degrees for about 25 – 30 minutes
Enjoy !
