Bacon wrapped Smokies
Ingredients
1 pound thick cut bacon, cut into thirds
1 (14 oz) package lit’l smokies ( smoked sausage)
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup maple syrup
Directions
Pre heat your oven to 375 degrees F. Wrap each sausage with a piece of bacon. If necessary Secure the bacon with a toothpick. I did not use toothpicks and they rolled up nicely and stayed rolled up. Place on a large disposable foil pan (cookie sheet size). Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over all the sausages and drizzle with the maple syrup. Bake for 20 minutes. Check and if needed drain some of the grease. Return to the oven and bake for an extra 20–30 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the sugar is bubbly.
