Puppy Chow

Ingredients

1 ( 12oz.) bag of rice chex

1 cup peanut butter

1 cup milk chocolate, semi-sweet or white chocolate chips ( whichever you prefer)

1/4 cup butter

1 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar

1 – 1 ½ cup M&M’s – optional

Directions

Pour the chex in a (very) large bowl. Melt the chocolate, peanut butter and butter in a saucepan over low heat. If you prefer you can put the chocolate, peanut butter and butter in a microwave bowl and microwave in 30 second intervals until smooth when stirred. Once the mixture is smooth remove from heat and pour over the cereal. Gently stir until the cereal is coated. Divide the powdered sugar and into 2 large plastic storage or freezer bags. Pour the cereal into the two freezer bags ( divide somewhat evenly). Close the bags and shake until well coated. Store in an airtight container. I use Mason Jars. Pour some of the cereal in a mason jar, add some M&M’s, pour more cereal, add more M&M’s. Continue until the jar is full. Enjoy !
